At Calvary Chapel, we're all about Jesus and the only way to get to know Jesus is to understand what the Bible says about him, which also includes what he said about himself.
Calvary is a large church with many services. All our weekend services are the same, studies follow the New Testament. Our Wednesday night mid week service is more intimate in fellowship and studies follow the Old Testament.
Our desire to be "real", and to have a fellowship of believers whose faith in Christ is real - not phony, plastic or simply religious. Our style of dress for church services is casual yet modest. Everyone is welcome and accepted, from the homeless to the wealthy professionals, and understand that dress does not determine godliness.
And while this might mean you'll learn some things on how to be a better person, how to have a better marriage, or how to be more fulfilled in life - that's not really the point. Because without Jesus, nothing matters. It's because of Jesus that we can be a better person. Only Jesus can make a marriage better. And true fulfillment is only found in Jesus. This means we teach from the Bible, because the Bible is all about Jesus. Often we'll go through whole books of the Bible, verse by verse, to show you what the whole Bible teaches and how it relates to Jesus.
All our sermons are online for you to watch or listen.
We recognize music as a beautiful expression of worship to our Creator. Therefore, we incorporate music into our gatherings as we follow Paul's exhortation to "Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ" (Ephesians 5:19-20).
You can openly and freely express your praise and worship to God in a heartfelt way that is real and uncontrived. While we appreciate traditional hymns, we also enjoy the more contemporary praise music and allow our praise band to inspire and facilitate genuine worship.More about our Music
