The avenue of sports provides a unique opportunity to integrate spiritual and physical disciplines in an environment fueled by passion and purpose. Through discipline, sacrifice, and commitment, Christ endured the cross bringing us to God. We aim to be a reflection of that character and purpose in the life we live. Sports are a tool to train in spiritual disciplines that we may know God better and live a consistent, intense faith-filled Christ following walk.
The outpouring of this investment impacts the community, adults and youth greatly using sports to bring the truth of the gospel. From local and international outreach, to fellowship and discipleship the Calvary Sports ministry desires to maximize sports and physical activity to accomplish these goals personally and in the lives of others to ultimately bring Glory to God.
Sports is an excellent environment for fellowship, bonding and spiritual growth. If you have a passion for a particular sports and you would like to lead a ministry focused on that sport, the Sports Ministry of Calvary Chapel would love to assist you. Please contact us with your vision for a Sports Ministry Small Group, include your contact information and we will set up an interview.

In the Fitness conditioning class, we don't separate the exercise of the spirit and of the body. Bodily exercise profits a little, but the exercise towards godliness is profitable for all things. Beginning with a devotion from the Word of God and then implementing the verses from the Bible in our minds and on our lips, every class becomes a sacrifice to the Lord, an opportunity to keep our minds on the Word. The workout is self-paced and provides the freedom for anyone, of any age or shape, to participate at their own level. Every month will start new with a simple progression.

Hello Baseball Fans,
We are gearing up for the CCSP winter baseball season which starts October 22, 2011! Online registration is now open, and we would like to encourage you to register as soon as possible here:
We will be holding a skills clinic the first week, where players will learn the basic skills of baseball, and have an opportunity to practice them, and get some of the rust off since last season. The following week, we will be holding a group practice, where the players will be divided up into stations, to practice and develop the skills they learned the week prior.
Week 3 will be the Player Evaluation week. The players will demonstrate their skills to the coaches and they will be evaluated on throwing, fielding, hitting and running. This will enable the teams to be determined in a fair and even manner. The teams will be decided that week, and the next 2 weeks will be Team Practices. This is different from last year—we wanted the kids and coaches to get to know each other, have practiced a few times as a team, and have their uniforms before the first game (December 3).
We will also be allowing kids to "play up" or "play down" within the divisions, depending on skills, if you so choose.
The cost will be $50 for the season, which includes a cap, jersey, team photo and trophy.
Youth Baseball will be held at Fossil Park on the following Saturdays (times TBD): Map to Fossil Park
