A Food Ministry with a Servants Heart

Calvary Chapel is collaborating with Angel Food Ministries, a non-profit, organization dedicated to providing grocery relief to communities. By providing groceries at half the cost of grocery stores to those in our church and community who want to participate, we can show Christ's love in a real and practical way.

Angel Food's groceries are sold in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $30 per unit. Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $70. Comparison shopping across the country has resulted in the same food items costing from between $65 and $80.
Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single person for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one would purchase at a grocery store (no second hand or damaged items).
Once a unit of food is purchased, specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork become available for purchase. There is no limit or qualifications to the number of units or specialty foods an individual can purchase.Angel Food Ministries also participates in the EBT program.

(1) 16 oz. Green Peas & Carrots
(1) 15 oz. Diced Bartlett Pears
(1) 14 oz. Peanut Butter
(1) 8 oz. Pancake Mix
(1) Dessert Item
(1) 7 oz. Brown N Serve Sausage

How the Program works
Calvary Chapel will be a host site. Orders and payments will be collected the beginning of each month. (check current menu for deadlines). If you elect to pay online with credit or debit card you will have an extended period of time to order (Please check with Angel Food Ministries for the cut off date). Distribution day will normally fall on the last Saturday of every month. At that time you can pre-order for the following month.
