Scott Rodriguez

My parents were divorced when I was 2. My Grandparents basically raised me. My Grandpa Charles, who'd been a life-long drunk, came to know Christ when I was 9 and started taking me to a little Independent Baptist Church in Bradenton, Fla.. I was heavily influenced by his dramatic life-change and soon responded to the Gospel myself. I sensed God calling me to preach shortly after I was saved at age 10. Not long afterwards my house was struck by lightening. We basically lost everything, and a year or so later I began drifting away. By age 18 I'd become a drug-addicted criminal and found myself in many shameful troubles. I ended up spending a total of 9 years in prison. God used all of my troubles, including prison, to bring me to repentance, renew His call on my life, and prepare to walk in it. He's since given me a wife and 3 beautiful daughters. My heart's desire is to faithfully serve my Lord (with them at my side) until He comes again
