Ryan was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. At the age of 14, Ryan made a decision to follow Jesus as his Savior. He was attending Calvary Chapel St. Petersburg at the time and became heavily involved in the ministry at the church. Ryan went to St. Petersburg High School, followed by St. Petersburg Junior College, and then finished his bachelor's degree at Clearwater Christian College. He was invited to be an intern for the High School Ministry at Calvary in 2003, and later started the media program at the church. By 2005, Ryan was ordained and working full-time in the High School Ministry. He continues to see the High School Ministry flourish and is also overseeing Remnant, a young adult ministry. Ryan and his wife, Christine, have two children.
